When my grandmother passed away, I inherited her apron collection. Her strength and deep love for her family profoundly inspired my idea of womanhood. I have been photographing these aprons and breathing life into these worn fabrics and their stories.
My Apron Collection explores my relationship to the fabric of womanhood and how we women present ourselves in a complicated life. I am working to create art that celebrates nature, culture, and human experience. Playing with planes of thought and boundaries of space and time, I strive to make images that pay homage to the soul.
